Pearls of Wisdom
Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding several sudden deaths among European soccer players. These deaths have been attributed to "Sudden Death Syndrome" (SDS). An umbrella term invented to cover cardiac arrest deaths among young athletes. Many of these deaths are due to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy where the heart muscle expands significantly.
